H Ashley Graham revealed that some refused to dress because she is plus-size

Fashion houses and they flatly refused to dress up as Ashley Graham for the cover of Vogue magazine…
For a fashion brand, it is a great case to display an outfit on the cover of a magazine. Equally big deal is the plus-size model, Ashley Graham, on the cover of British Vogue for the January issue. However, none of the two is not that big of a deal for some designers who apparently refused to send you clothes that may not be the size of a sample for the photo shoot of Graham.
In the editor’s letter that comes along with the issue, the editor-in-chief, Alexandra Shulman, revealed that the problems of the industry with the numbers to go very, very far away from the lack of models with curves on the covers. While the Coach jumped at the chance to create clothes for the Graham for the photo shoot, other houses were not amused. Actually, a lot of brands “and they flatly refused to give us their clothes,” he wrote in the letter.
“It seems to me strange that while the rest of the world seeks desperately the acceptance of wider definitions of natural beauty from the fashion, some of the most famous fashion brands seem to be moving in the opposite direction,” wrote Shulman.
Unfortunately, it’s not a new phenomenon. This summer, Leslie Jones couldn’t find a designer to dress her for the premiere of Ghostbusters (the Christian Sirano came in the role of savior, then). Regardless of the mess it made on social media, not much has changed so that all women have more stylistic options.
