This is the church of Panagia of Blachernae, which is located just outside of Kamena Vourla and more specifically the foothills of mount Knimida, which is the eastern end of the ΚαλλίδÏομου.
No one knows when outbreak of the fire. A breeder in the area saw it in the morning damaged and informed the Fire brigade, the Police and the Municipality.
Unfortunately, among the embers, in accordance with information, they could not find the image of the Virgin mary. Still don’t know if this was an accident or arson.
However, according to the story, until 8:00 in the evening, there was candle lit.
It is fortunate that the fire didn’t spread to the mountain, because the air that was there things would have been extremely difficult, however the beautiful chapel, as you can see in the pictures was completely destroyed on the inside, while collapsed and part of the roof.
