From what age can the children understand that their lying

If you have small children, experts advise to…
don’t do it, as they can recognize if someone is lying, even in infancy.
An international team of researchers studied the behaviors of over 140 children aged 2.5 years in the USA.
The researchers used a classical method, called the false belief task.
The kids are watching a character, Sally, hides a marble in one of the two boxes that are there, without knowing that then will be transferred to the other box.
In this scenario, the researchers normally ask the guys who will look for the Sally for the city of volos. Young children show the new box which has been transferred to volos, as they do not understand that Sally is not aware that it has changed location. On the contrary, those that are older than 4 years old, they understand that Sally doesn’t know and suggest that you look in the box who planted it initially.
The researchers changed the story a little and used the Emma and an apple, which followed the same logic, but this time the apple was moved to a secret place. In this, the most simplified version, and even young children were able to realise that the Emma I was looking for where he had originally placed the apple.
This shows that very young children recognize the lie, even if it is not in a position to explain to anyone when they have a lot of information to process, and most likely they can sense when someone is lying, trying to trick you or he’s faking it.
The results of the research were published in the scientific journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
