The incident occurred last Thursday and immediately informed both the Forest service and the Hellenic Center for Wildlife Care.
Immediately mobilised the Outpost to the village of Viannos and the ranger Manolis Παντουβάκης went to the site and caught the animal, who is just five months old.
According to the specialists from the Center for Animal Care:
During this period, the small (which is about 5 months old, or ” parents, or lost if the get a current of air and remove them from their parents) the birds are forced to travel long distances to find food. Also the lack of water caused by poor rainfall and deteriorating as it gets later in the summer, makes us fear that there are a lot of vultures –more young people – who will need help this year.

In the Centre there is a huge cage for vultures where the young animal is once done well will have the opportunity to grow up a little, even among people of his kind and to be released next Summer.
