Lieutenant general Christos ΚαÏυώτης served in the Special Forces for 21 years as a platoon leader, Company Commander and staff Officer in Squadrons of Commandos, Paratroopers and Amphibian Commando. Still, he served as a staff Officer of the hellenic army general STAFF, the (A) and in THE 21 M/S FWC. He served as Commander of the 618 M/S TAS, the School of Paratroopers, of the Constitution Court, of THE 21 M/K SP, of 3 M/K H is “ΡΙΜΙÎΙ” and of the Military academy. He is a graduate of all the planned Schools of Infantry, of the Higher School of War, the National Defence college. In addition, she graduated from all Schools of the School of Paratroopers, Ranger School, the School of Underwater demolition in the Navy and the School for advanced Education of Officers of Special Forces. Have been awarded to all the διαμνημονεÏσεις and the medals specified for the degree. He is married and the father of two daughters.
An important milestone was the participation in the Operation “Golden Fleece”, in 1993, as head of the Department of Commandos to help in the release of over a thousand enclave of Greeks from the belligerent zone of Sokhumi in Abkhazia in Georgia.
It is worth mentioning that the II M/C Infantry Division is one of the oldest in Greece, with important action in the history of and key operational role today. Achieved the first victory in the Balkan Wars, releasing the Minor and contributing to the successful development of the subsequent battles.
