co-organized by the Association for Education in Heraklion “Domenico Greco”, the Office of Education and the School Boards of the Malevizi Municipality, had the opportunity to watch students, teachers and parents in the General high School, Gazi.
The aim of the event was to update the prevention and response to incidents of child sexual abuse, given that the protection of children, is not only the responsibility of the family, but of society as a whole and particularly of the educational community.
At the party spoke to the director of the child psychiatry clinic of Pagni mr. Panagiotis Μπίτσιος who referred to the perpetrators, the victims, the early detection, treatment and prevention of such incidents, while particularly interesting was the evidence presented by the Prosecutor of minors, mrs. Maria Πολάκη.
Also spoke of the Sergeant mrs Pelagia Daskalaki, the Warden, mr. Freedom Σπανάκη and the police Officer mr Gregory Maridakis for the role of the Greek Police for incidents of sexual abuse in children, while the current legal framework spoke to the lawyer, mr. Apollo Kalogeropoulos.
Particular reference to the role of director of a school unit in the case of sexual abuse of a child, did the Director of the 2nd Primary School of Gazi, mr. George Stiakakis, while the event was closed with the tale of ‘Kiko and the hand” from the Kindergarten teacher, mrs Anna Στουμπίδη.
