ESDP: Occupational experience action for unemployed young people with a budget of EUR 200 million

The incorporation of action in 2021 – 2027 on training with a budget of 200m euros is announced by the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Mrs. Domna Michailidou and the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Mr. Nikos Papathanasis. The action, which is part of the ESDP’s Human Resources and Social Cohesion programme, is co-financed by the European Social Fund. In particular, it includes measures to prepare and gain professional experience, to promote the integration into the labour market of up to 25,000 unemployed young people, and will be implemented within the open type of programmes (open framework model), i.e. it will remain open to the submission of applications, until the positions are covered or the budget is exhausted. Beneficiaries of the action are unemployed aged 18 – 29 years, registered as unemployed persons of the ISDP2, graduates of at least compulsory education, who are out of work, education and training. The duration of the programme is 7 months full-time, in private enterprises throughout the country. Beneficiaries shall be paid by the IMIPA, monthly compensation equal to the legal minimum salary and proportion of holiday and leave allowance gifts and for their time of participation in the programme shall be subject to the mixed insurance of the e-EFKA. No compensation shall be paid to providers of pre-employment posts (enterprises). Communications to start applications on the relevant electronic platform shall be made by the DYPA, which is also the implementation body of the programme.
