AEK wanted to fill the gap for the national teams and gave Cyprus a friendly struggle over Apollo Limassol, with the absences of Galanopoulos and Mahara being felt. Both Union footballers, however, were out for medical reasons and will soon return to training for the AEK, to be made available to Matias Almeida, for the season finale in Super League 1.
