Earth Time 2024: Turn off the lights to protect the planet – Greece participates this year

At 8:30 at night and for 60 minutes turn off the lights by honoring it. In this way, send a loud message to protect it. Earth Time is celebrated for the 18th year. So at 8:30 p.m., we turn off the lights for an entire hour, in a symbolic move that highlights the need to protect the planet. For 60 minutes hundreds of sights, monuments, institutions and businesses in Greece from all over the world that unite their voices. According to WWF, Earth Time is also calling on everyone this year to devote 60 valuable minutes in order to implement simple, but substantial actions that will strengthen their relationship with nature. The lights for the “Earth Time” are out in Greece and the response in Greece to participate in the “Earth Time”. Dozens of operators responded to WWF Greece’s call to turn off the lights for an hour and send their own message to protect the environment. In particular, as the organization is well known, the initiative includes, among other things, the Presidency of the Hellenic Republic, the sacred rock of the Acropolis, the temple of Hephaestus, the monument of Philopapus, the White Tower, the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, Kallimarmaro, Amfissa Castle, the Cultural Centre of Stavros Niarchos, the international airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”, as well as dozens of municipalities of the country.
