Mark Rute, in an interview to the Süddeutsche Zeitung, he described the minimum that should be achieved at the Summit next Monday in order to be considered successful.
“Turkey should be declared prepared to accept more economic immigrants, and I hope to reach an agreement for relocation of refugees in countries of the EU directly from Turkey,” he mentioned.
In relation to Greece that we must realize its responsibilities as a country at the far end of the Schengen area and the EU to help overall in the reception and identification of refugees. The question of whether the assistance could include debt relief, Mark Rute stressed that should not be confused with one another.
