The european Central Bank, Mario Draghi, responding to questions by Greek meps during the Plenary debate of the European Parliament on the ECB annual report.
As mr Draghi, the emergency relief liquidity-should comply with the principle of non-financing of state deficits.
“The decisions of emergency liquidity has not resulted in a violation of any of these authorities, was not a violation of the Treaties, decisions of this kind in a way, which was uniform in both time and geographically, between countries of the european union.E.” underlined mr. Draghi.
With regard to the participation of the ECB in the institutions, mentioned that “there is something which prohibits the ECB to participate in the troika”. As he said, in recent years, the ECB has reduced the role of the troika, focusing on the issues in the banking sector and financing sector. “I don’t have as much influence on macro-economic issues, in which the Commission is a prominent voice in the troika,” he added.
