Digital Working Card: Extension of application calls for traders and industrialists

The Chamber of Commerce of Thessaloniki (EBETH) sent to the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Domna Michailidou, a letter requesting that the period of its pilot implementation be extended to industry and to the , in a temporal manner, to that already decided on the new IT system of LABOUR II. This extension of the digital work card is considered to be necessary, in order to grant industry and retail the necessary time to be informed of the new Information System of WORK II and then to proceed with the actions required for the overall use of its applications, as stated in the letter of EBETH, signed by the first Vice-President of the body, Emmanuel Vlachoyannis. It is recalled that the trial period of the applications of LABOUR II will begin on 1/5 and the full operational application on 1/6, while on the basis of what is currently in force, the application of the digital work card, as the final date of full implementation is 1/4 for industry and 2/5 for retail. “This means that it will not be possible to use the accounting system for the registration of overtime and changes in the hours of employees by businesses before the beginning of the trial period of the applications of JOHN II”, the EBEH notes in its letter.
