Danny Alves: “There is only justice for the rich” states Brazilian footballer’s victim

Indignant appears the young woman who was first vindicated, complaining by him, following the court’s decision to temporarily release the Brazilian footballer. Reactions have caused Spain (and not only) to overturn Danny’s issue Alves, as despite the negative recommendation of the prosecutor’s seat, the Barcelona court eventually accepted the Brazilian’s request for temporary, and conditional release, by paying a guarantee of EUR 1 million, until his case was tried to a second degree. For her part the prosecution was negative to the request as she considered him a flight suspect and had even appealed against the 4.5-year sentence imposed on him by the court, as he wants his sentence to be increased to nine years. The 40-year-old Brazilian was sentenced on 22 February by the court to 4.5 years in prison, as well as to pay 150,000 euros to his victim, for the rape of a young woman in December 2022 at a Barcelona nightclub. The complainant’s lawyer, Esteth Garthia, stressed the decision: “It was very difficult to explain the legal reasons for this decision. He told me there was only justice for the rich after all. He believes this may not have happened to any other defendant without the financial surface of Alves.”
