Cup Final in Panthessalian: Everything shows closed doors – Mars did not accept the OAKA

The president of the EPO, Takis Baltakos stressed that the Federation’s decision – at this moment – is the final of the Greek Cup between Panathinaikos and Mars – on May 18th – to become closed doors, in Panthessalian! According to what Takis Baltakos pointed out, after the end of the meeting with the people of Panathinaikos and Mars for the final of the Greek Cup, Panthessalian does not meet the requirements, at the time, with the cameras, and still no action has been taken on the electronic ticket. In fact, the president of the EPO expressed the view that it will be difficult to be ready within two months. Baltakos stressed that there was no agreement between Panathinaikos and Mars, with the Thessalonians not accepting to play at OAKA. As he said, “… the EPO is obliged to keep the notice. When there is a team from Athens and Thessaloniki, the final is in Volos”. What Takis Baltakos said: “There was a meeting today. At this meeting we made decisions. The first thing we have to say is that the EPO is obliged to keep the notice. When there is a team from Athens and Thessaloniki the final is in Volos. Mars won’t play at the OAKA. Since the teams don’t agree, we go to Volos as the announcement says, but the conditions must be met. If they are not kept up to a point in time, they will become closed doors. Panathinaikos expressed reservations even with the world due to incidents that can occur. Mayor Volos accepts with about 11,000 fans. Now the conditions are not met. Today the decision is: In Volos the final without fans. If the conditions change, we’ll see. The Volos stadium should be improved by law, but soon for us to make a change of decision,” said Mr Baltakos. Regarding OAKA, he replied: “I told you about OAKA. Mars does not accept playing where Panathinaikos used it as his seat. The EPO can certainly help financially to improve the Panthessalian.”
