The Directorate of Rural Economy and Veterinary of.E. Magnesia and Sporades islands with its communication to inform professional users of plant protection products that circulate in the Greek market in illegal and counterfeit plant protection product by the name of “CORAGEN” and the data of the company “DUPONT”.
The product shall bear a label in English and Romanian, and then the relevant information from the company bears a batch number (batch number), which does not belong to this tape, which is a fake and is in packaging of 1 liter, which is not approved.
According to a well-founded suspicion of the Greek Association of plant Protection, the product is originating in a third country, without anyone knowing the exact content, both in terms of active, and in terms of excipients, solvents, etc.
Based on the information of the Greek Association of plant Protection, the product is there in the Prefectures of Serres, Komotini, Magnesia (Salty), Aitoloakarnania, Fthiotida and Larissa, and yes it appears to moving large quantities.
In accordance with article 9 par. 3.4036/2012 (government GAZETTE Α 8), anyone who imports, manufactures for trade, sells, owns, has in any way, even free of charge, exchanges, carries, uses, or advertises within the country plant protection product for which no authorisation has been granted for the placing on the market or the marketing authorisation has been withdrawn or has not been granted a parallel trade permit, or has not been granted a permit experimentation, shall be punished by a fine of one thousand (1,000) to thirty thousand (30.000) euro. These plant protection products should be frozen and re-exported to the country of origin in order for countries outside the European Union (E.E.) or returned to the member state of dispatch.
Finally, in accordance with article 10του.4036/2012, for the above infringements provided for additional criminal penalties.
Any use of the preparation or other illegal formulations of unknown risks to their health, for the crops for which, if any, applied to the environment.
Any preparations that will be found will be bound immediately and will be notified by the competent Customs authorities for the enforcement of the provisions of the law regarding clandestine preparations.
