The popular social network has admitted that for 2 years, give false evidence for the views of videos uploaded by users…
For about 2 years (from the Μάιιο 2014) Facebook has admitted and apologized for the mistake, since it seems to be calculated wrong views and the time consumed by users watching the videos that go up on the platform, which is definitely not like that at all on advertising, but also to companies, since there are investing billions of euros every year.
In accordance with a communication from the centre to help advertisers of Facebook concerning a change in the way of measurement of the projections, the popular social network seems to count the wrong views of the video claiming that the video covered all of the prescribed time period even if “running” three or more seconds, and making out all those users who fall for immediately the icon rejection. In this way he managed to swell the numbers of display time by 60% and 80%.
The stock of Facebook as it was logical after the fact it fell by 1.3% to 128$ while at the same time has issued a statement in which it is stated that it recently discovered an error in the calculation of one of the measurement parameters of time video monitoring. This error has been corrected and did not affect the pricing… Has alerted his partners, renaming the index measurement in order to make it clearer what is measured. This measurement is one of the indicators used by the partners to evaluate the performance of the video.
From the side of the advertising and of the remaining companies has not released some sort of announcement but it is not excluded that very soon we see various reactions.
