Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas are to receive the honorary distinctions from the British government for their services and offer to cinema. Earlier this month Nolan was the great winner of this year’s Oscars posting seven awards among 13 nominations for the biographical film “Oppenheimer” with Killian Murphy playing the “father of the atomic bomb” Julius Robert Oppenheimer. Born in London to a British father and American mother, the famous director met his wife on the first day they were students at University College, London, in 1989. They were married in 1997 and have had four children. Together they founded the Syncopy production company, which is behind many of Nolan’s film hits. In the past he had stated that he never felt alone making films because his wife “always saw things the same way that I saw about the meaning of the medium.”
