Nicosia a few minutes after midnight on Wednesday (28/9) mobilised citizens to alert the Police.
Thus, according to the newspaper “Φιλελέυθερος”, police officers arrived after a while in the public toilets of the square Σολώμου facing the men’s room of a naked woman and a man only in his underwear.
From research conducted it was found that the 38 year old woman from Russia was badly injured in the face and elsewhere, and in an intense state of intoxication to the point of not communicating with the environment.
The 38-year-old alleged perpetrator of the case was a Cypriot homeless man who went on deposit in TAE indicating that whatever happened, it was under the consent of and for the injuries stated ignorance.
The Russian did not even have the next day to give a statement because of the bad psychological situation.
The same came to Cyprus on 31 March and had to depart for home on June 29, but remaining on the island illegally. The Embassy of Russia has informed.
The case continues to be investigated by the Police, while on Thursday (29/9) the suspect was presented to the District Court of Nicosia for the investigated drug case of rape and assault with grievous bodily harm.
