Charbel: “I am a love immigrant, so I live in Qatar”

On the camera of the show “The Breakfast” Charbel spoke on Tuesday (19/03/2024) and referred to his new life in Qatar and Charbel also spoke about Marina Satti’s song for Eurovision, and was also asked about his own experience from the 2007 Helsinki competition. “My base is in Qatar, I have been in the East for two years. I’m in Qatar because my wife is there, that is, my family and we live very nice. I am a love immigrant, like this,” says Charbel. “In London I have my mother and a family company with real estate. I’ve been investing since I had the big hits but I’ve grown up with this profession, as the whole family deals with it. We also manage a classical orchestra,” the singer complements. “The nice thing that makes Marina’s piece Satty, it’s a lot of talk. People don’t know how to react but the truth is that the more you hear it, the more you like it,” Charbel answers a relevant question. “The ‘Zari’ is perfect for Eurovision. Eurovision wants a madness. It doesn’t always have to be serious. I believe it will reach five”, he notes. “When I went to Eurovision, I remember they had said on a show: he’s not even Greek, he’s Iraqi. First, I am a London Cypriot. I didn’t like the comment about my ancestry because it was narrow-minded. Now Greece has become more cosmopolitan. When I came back from Eurovision, Finland, I paid for my taxi and all the treats,” Charbel recalls at another point in the statements.
