Educational-Εξωραϊστικού Association Κασταμονίτσας will be held the “Festival of Εφταζύμου” Saturday August 13 in Κασταμονίτσα.
Guests will have the opportunity to watch the production process εφταζύμου in a short film, to participate themselves in the kneading and moulding of bread and to taste and buy the traditional bread.
It is a celebration – an institution dedicated to the tradition and the flavors of the past , in an effort to keep unchanged the habits and recipes of times those. Flavors and images of delivery, we will frame the afternoon the streets of the village. Women will prepare traditional dishes in the picturesque us closely and mementos of our democratic tradition will adorn the streets.
We must stress that the success of the event relies on unanimous, emotional, and voluntary participation of the residents of the village, proving once again that the pride , the sense of hospitality and love in our tradition is still deeply rooted in the way of life and communication, especially to the people of the cretan countryside.
The evening will conclude with a big cretan feast that will be held in the courtyard of the Elementary School, with his band “Manolis Alexakis”.
