However, while the suspension bridge drastically reduces the distance of 540 km from Istanbul in Izmir, with the result that the journey of ten hours to be reduced by three to four hours, has been observed a large traffic jam.
The reason is that in spite of the warnings of those responsible for the movement of the bridge that prohibits stopping and parking the majority of the drivers stops to admire the view and take selfies. Thus, the authorities impose a fine of eur 92 Turkish lira, in order to smoothen the movement and point out that: “the fines imposed on drivers who park in the stop without any need and without taking the necessary precautions”.
The suspension bridge Osman Gazi was launched on 30 June by the Turkish president.
