Coronavirus – Canada: Hospital group fires unvaccinated workers

A medical group that owns several hospitals in Toronto, Canada, announced Friday that it will fire any staff member who has not been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by the end of October.

Several Canadian companies have made it mandatory to vaccinate their employees by the autumn, as the country faces an outbreak of infections attributed to the Delta variant of the new coronavirus.

The federal government announced last week that it would soon make it mandatory to vaccinate all public officials and other workers.
