BMW M Motorsport and LEGO celebrate passion for racing with two new sets of models

With the new season already started, the partnership between M Motorsport and LEGO® created a new model set of the Speed Champions series that will attract interest. The new arrival will be a source of enthusiasm for the younger friends of motor sport from nine years old and above, while at the same time offering an authentic construction and game experience for the more mature collectors. With 676 tracks in total, this set offers detailed illustration of the two models enabling fans of assembly games to create not one but two current BMW M Motorsport racing cars: BMW M Hybrid V8 and BMW M4 GT3. These two racing cars are the peak of BMW M Motorsport’s spear in races such as Le Mans’ 24 hours to be held on the weekend 15 and 16 June 2024. The new miniatures of the Speed Champions series stand out as carefully constructed copies of original cars. Original design features include BMW M Motorsport’s characteristic colors, proposed air diffusers, visually impressive exhaust endings and impressive spoilers, as well as an interior crafted with a lot of attention to detail. In addition, the ceilings of the two miniatures can be removed to enable drivers’ figures included in the set to be placed in the corresponding cockpits. The setting is therefore ready for exciting wheel racing in children’s rooms at all lengths and backs of the Earth. Replicas for small and big race enthusiasts Driven by the vision of creating iconic racing cars with LEGO® blocks, the LEGO® Speed Champions series has brought smiles to the faces of the friends of the car and collectors of all ages for nearly ten years. This new set, which combines BMW M Hybrid V8 and BMW M4 GT3, fits glove in that tradition and allows additional target groups to experience the charm of motor sport and BMW M engineering expertise. The latest addition to the LEGO® Speed Champions series will stir up the racing passion of those who will build cars. Once completed, these two highly attractive models will enrich both the collector’s windows and the starting racks for exciting home games. The BMW M Hybrid V8 / BMW M4 GT3 set began to be sold on 4 March 2024 at a recommended retail price of €49.99 and can be purchased by BMW representatives in the EU and the United Kingdom, as well as by BMW’s online store at lifestyle.bmw.com and LEGO®. BMW M Motorsport : return to the big racing scene BMW M Motorsport celebrates its long-awaited return to international prototype games with BMW M Hybrid V8. The electric motor racing with the V8 engine passed its first test last season in the famous GTP category of the IMSA series and this year it is already playing at the FIA World Resistance Championship (FIA WEC). Just 25 years after BMW V12 LMR’s celebrated general win in Le Mans, BMW’s launch M Hybrid V8 in the legendary classic endurance race opens a new chapter in the BMW brand’s racing prototype history. BMW M Team WRT also participates with BMW M4 GT3 in the FIA WEC games in the current season. This means that BMW M Motorsport will also be represented in another category in Le Mans’ 24 Hours, with the two hybrid BMW M Hybrid V8 fighting the battle in the hypercar category in Le Mans and the two thoroughbred BMW M4 GT3 lined up in LMGT3.
