The Portuguese territory on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Accession of Portugal and Spain in the EEC (later EU) Jose Barroso, the prime ministers of Spain and Portugal, made attributes: “The time is not suitable for hesitation. We need leadership and political courage fist. The revival of national self-interest and unilateral solutions are temptations that are not settled by structural problems.
At the same time described as important for nations to see the EU as their plan and invest in the principles of cooperation, solidarity and responsibility. ” The European Parliament President Gierzi Busek say that the EU will support it “in the Member States on the difficult decisions that must take”.
José Sócrates called the most powerful political intervention of the EU and need to qualify as a “European response based on solidarity and cohesion among Member States and European nations. On his part, Jose Luis Zapatero Rodrigeth reiterated the importance of collaboration in Portugal and Spain within the EU family
