Barcelona sent Juventus to the 2025 world club cup

Yesterday’s victory-crimination over Napoli in the UEFA Champions League ’16’ phase, sent her to the FIFA World Club Cup. The new 32-team event, to be held in the United States (15/6-13/7/2025), includes clubs from each of the six confederations. UEFA Champions League winners in the last three seasons – Manchester City, Real Madrid and Chelsea – have already secured their participation. Bayern Munich, Paris St. Germaine, Inter, Porto, Benfica and Borussia Dortmund have covered six more positions through the UEFA team ranking, based on their Champions League performance in the last four seasons, including the current season. The winners of the current UEFA Champions League event, completed with the final in London on June 1, will take one place. In case a club wins two or more Champions League events of its confederation during 2021–2024, the ranking route will be used to grant the position. However, this list will apply a maximum of two clubs per country, with the exception of cases where more than two clubs from the same country win the top club organization of the confederation during the four-year period. On the other side of the world, the match for claiming fourth and final place in Concaf as winners of this year’s Concaaf Champions Cup continues with the second games of the “16” phase on March 12-14. Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami (USA) is among the challengers. Monterey (Mexico), Seattle Saunders (USA) and Club Leon (Mexico) have already qualified after winning the Concaf Champions Cup in 2021, 2022 and 2023 respectively. This week also concludes the qualifying phase of Copa Libertadores 2024 in South America, where three of the six places are still to be won – one for the winners of the year and two through the ranking route. However, there is still a long way to South America with the final scheduled for Buenos Aires on November 30. Palmeiras (Brazil) (2021), Flamengo ( Brazil) (2022) and Fluminense (Brazil) (2023) are the trinity of Brazilian clubs that have already secured their position having won Copa Libertadores’ last three events.
