Double sizes achieved within five years, from 2018 to 2023, having recorded record sizes last year, i.e. more than 1 billion euros and operating profitability (EBITDA) of 272m euros. These high performances of the turnover are attributed to the fact that the company is more “balanced”, as said yesterday (28.3.2024) during the teleconference of analysts Autohellas CEO Eftytis Vasilakis. According to Mr. Vasilakis, Autohellas’ activity is based on three pillars, leases in Greece, the marketing of cars, which was “part of Autohellas in 2015 and is continuously expanding its contribution to the overall result”, and in the field of international leases. 50% of Autohellas’ overall profitability represented, for the first time, in 2023 the marketing of cars and international activity in car rental. The good results and the appearance of high profitability last year were against increasing interest rates and increasing Euribor by about 400 basis points from the summer of 2022 until the end of 2023, as Mr Vasilakis pointed out.
