Athens Stock Exchange: Fall 0.53% for the General Index, “explosion” of turnover at 1.34 billion euros due to Piraeus

Stock prices were closed at today’s meeting (7.3.2024) in , under the weight of bank-focused liquidity , while the General Price Index closed at 1,425.44 units, dropping 0.53%. Intra-conference recorded a lower value at 1,420.03 units (-0.91%). At 1.34 billion euros, the turnover was ejected, of which 1.08 billion euros relate to Piraeus packages transferred after the location of 27% of the bank’s shares. The high capitalization index dropped by 0.70% on the Athens Stock Exchange, while the mid-capitalization index declined to 0.62%. Of the shares in high capitalization, the largest rise was recorded by Titan shares (+ 3.11%), GEK TERNA (+2.84%), OPAP (+2.03%), Aegean Airlines (+1.1%) and PPC (+0.85%). On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded in the shares of the National (-3.70%), Alpha Bank (-3.5%), Eurobank (-2.14%), PPA (-1.93%), Elvalhalcor (-1.90%) and Viohalco (-1.85%). Piraeus stock closed with 1.54% losses, at 4.10 euros. The largest volume of transactions was presented by Piraeus and Alpha Bank by moving 302,60,039 and 10,742,444 shares, respectively. Piraeus recorded the largest transaction value with 1.21 billion euros and the National with 23.44 million euros. 47 shares, 59 drops and 17 remained stable were moved upwards. The biggest rise was in shares: Leventeris (k) +9.64% and Q&R +3.41%. The biggest fall was recorded by shares: BIS – 4.88% and Acritas – 3.88%.
