Athens Stock Exchange: Close by 0.35% for the General Index, at 99.53m euros per turnover

Mild fall recorded their prices at the closing of the Athens meeting today (27.3.2024), although initially they moved upwards, with the market retreating below the level of 1,420 units. At the same time, the General Index closed at 1,417.59 units, dropping 0.35%, while intra-sessionally recorded a higher value at 1,431.22 units (+ 0.61%). The value of the stock exchange transactions was EUR 99,53 million, while 24,536,910 shares were transferred. The high capitalization index fell to 0.42%, while the mid-capitalization index was reinforced to 0.23%. Of the shares in high capitalization, the largest rise was recorded by the shares of Greece (+3.53%), PPA (+2.38%), Saranti (+1.75%) and Viohalco (+1.63%). On the contrary, the largest fall was recorded by Alpha Bank (-1.58%), National (1.48%), Motor Oil (1.38%) and Piraeus (1.29%). The largest volume of transactions was presented by Piraeus and Alpha Bank by moving 6,479,724 and 4.990,694 shares, respectively. Piraeus recorded the largest transaction value with 24.84m euros and Alpha Bank with 8.36m euros. Upwardly 41 shares were moved, 65 drops and 21 remained stable. The largest increase was noted by shares: Epsilon Net +4.63% and Wood Trade (k) +4.13%. The biggest fall was recorded by shares: CPI -3.41% and ELBE -6.48%.
