At least 154 American pregnant women are infected with the virus Ζίκα

To increase funding called the Congress, the president of the united states Barack Obama for the purpose of dealing with the virus Ζίκα…
“This is not something that we can build a wall to stop it. Mosquitoes don’t go through customs,” said Obama to reporters after the meeting that he had with top executives of health services in the united states in the Oval Office of the White House.
“Congress needs to send me a bill. There is a need to deliver a law that will have sufficient funding to get the job done. (Members of the american parliament) must not interrupt their work before that happens,” insisted Obama.
Earlier, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, CDC) announced that at least 157 pregnant women in the U.S. and 122 in u.s. territories, primarily in Puerto Rico, it was found thanks to the laboratory tests to which it was submitted that they have been infected by the virus Ζίκα.
The CDC, however, explained that only about ten of the pregnant women infected by the virus miscarried or gave birth to neonates with congenital deformities.
This is the first time that the federal service of the united states reveals the number of women in interesting that you have been infected by the virus Ζίκα in the united states and in their regions.
Officials of the american health service have concluded that the virus Ζίκα, which is transmitted by mosquitoes, but also through unprotected sexual contact, can cause microcephaly, a series of abnormalities in the development of the embryo, mainly hindering the development of the skull and brain.
The service reported that significantly increases the amounts which provides to spend for the exams in order to detect infections from the Ζίκα in the USA ahead of the summer season breeding of mosquitoes.
The vast majority of cases of Ζίκα in the united states until now are persons who have returned from countries where the virus has spread widely, such as Brazil, or had sexual contacts with persons who have returned from these countries.
These figures were made public as the american health services calling for more funding for the support of protection from mosquitoes and sprays, the development of vaccines against Ζίκα and better diagnostic tests, and the development of long-term studies for a better understanding of the risk of transmission through sexual contact, and for the study of symptoms in children born of mothers who had been infected by the virus.
The Obama administration has asked Congress to approve funding of 1.9 billion dollars for the urgent treatment of Ζίκα, but that’s the amount the Senate just approved the $1,1 billion, while the House of Representatives approved 622,1 million resulting from cutbacks in existing programs, such as for the treatment of Ebola—something that officials of the us health services have been described insufficient and myopic.
