Arrested 34-year-old for violation of the legislation on the protection of the environment

He was arrested last morning, in Aspropyrgos, Attica… from officers of the Environmental Protection Department of the Directorate of Security of Attica, a 34-year-old national, temporarily in charge of company’s business marketing old trucks and spare parts, for infringement of the Legislation on the protection of the environment. Sought the 34-year-old resident owner of the company, charged with the same offences.
In particular, during the check – autopsy was conducted, with the assistance of Inspectors of Environment of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, in a space of land, 2 acres in extent in Aspropyrgos, within which operates the above operation, the object disassembly of trucks and the temporary storage of old rebar and scrap, it was found that the uncontrolled disposal of solid and liquid waste on the ground, with the result that the degradation of the environment and the pollution of the soil
Specifically, it was found that all metal objects, scrap, machines, trucks, refrigerators and tires were αποτεθειμένα non-flanged ground, in a pile height of ten (10) meters, without having taken any measure for the management and collection of effluents from the machines and rainwater, with the result that the transport of pollutants in the soil and, by extension, into the aquifer.
The arrested person, with the weight of the formed case, led to mr public Prosecutor at first instance of Athens.
