cold. Flying when you’re sick is not so ideal situation and we have all experienced at least once. And because this is a very common problem, below we have three things you need to know for the next time you fly, while you’re cold.
#1. Take a decongestant
An hour before take-off, it is advisable to take a decongestant, which will help to shrink the swollen your tissues. Chewing gum in any change in the pressure of the cabin is another quick trick that you can do.
#2. Keep yourself hydrated
Every time you travel by plane you have to keep yourself hydrated when you’re sick, there’s a reason above. The hydration will help to prevent the nasal secretions and obstruction of the eustachian tube (is the resource, which communicates the middle ear with the nasopharynx).
#3. Take a hot bath as soon as you land
Once you reach your destination, a hot shower (and the constant use of decongestants) can help you to feel better. According to experts, the steam from the shower can soothe the inflammation of the mucous membranes.
