Appeal to Pope to nuns don’t “get lost” on Facebook!

Pope Francis has appealed to the nuns who have chosen to live in isolation to not “get kit” of the social networking sites like Facebook…
In the text of the “Apostolic Constitution” which is addressed to nuns, Pope Francis says that in the monasteries “the Facebook and other social media can be a useful ways of training and communicating.
He notes, however, that it needs the exercise of critical faculties, so that “these websites to be in the service of religious life and not an opportunity to escape from the fraternal life which leads anyone inside the religious communities, nor to the detriment of a life totally dedicated to the Lord.”
Yes, the Pope asked the nuns not to “surf” themselves on the Internet, but at least “with one another in christ, sister”, saying that there should a nun be found “alone in the presence of a medium that can distract you from your sacred mission”.
The use of new technology and social media have proved particularly popular for the nuns of the Catholic Church.
