“After the attack I feared I would die,” says the cook who was stabbed in Thessaloniki

During the shocking moments he lived when he was attacked with a knife by a client, Uzeri’s 65-year-old spoke to Live News and revealed what is happening and attacked him by 55-year-old Uzeri’s client, because he felt that the shorthand portion they served him was stale. The cook saw the video recorded by the security cameras at the Uzeri he was working on and described what happened. Nothing showed what was going to happen. The shooter arrives, greets the cook at the entrance and enters the store. He talks to some of the regulars and sits down to order. “He asks me, I have it, but he has not yet decided what he wants,” said the 65-year-old. The moment of stabbing The order has reached the table and things are getting out of hand. The 55-year-old calls the manager and the cook. “Here he gets up and grabs the fork. He gets up and another stops him and hits me with the knife,” the cook said. This is where the attack begins. The 55-year-old catches the knife in front of him and stands up to strike. He’s trying to hold him back, but that’s not possible. The perp gets his jacket on after the attack, passes by the injured cook and leaves on his bike. These are the moments when the victim loses blood and waits for an ambulance. “She is slowly leaving. He’s already planning on not getting cold. He curses us,” he commented. The perpetrator who was hiding for days after the attack mentioned an unfortunate moment. He is alleged to have argued that he was drunk and could not control himself “Now I feel worse seeing the scene. I didn’t believe that this has happened to me,” comments the cook, who was undergoing surgery in a hospital in Thessaloniki and now asks for and expects the example punishment of the man who almost missed killing him. Apology, as he has said, is not enough for what he has lived. ‘He was intoxicated’ Live News also spoke to the store manager, the woman who tried to stop the perpetrator. “While working in the ouzeri, came the perpetrator, whom I know as we used to have an affair. Our relationship, which began at the Uzeri, has been interrupted for a long time. When he arrived he was in an obvious state of drunkenness. After ordering food and taking him the order he asked me for, he started drinking alcohol. He went alone to the fridge and got a retsina. He started cursing me strongly and protesting the quality of the food I served him. I tried to calm him down,” he said. “His voices began to become more intense, the shop cook came out of the kitchen in order to see what was happening. They both started yelling and approaching each other dangerously. I went between them to break up with them, but I didn’t make it. When I managed to break up with them, I saw the cook bleed out of his belly. That’s when I got upset and started yelling at the shooter. I didn’t see he took a knife in his hands. He took his jacket and left on his bike. Unfortunately they couldn’t contain him,” he said.
