According to Police, around 8 last night at Larnaka airport in the process control luggage a mother and daughter aged 61 and 26 years old, from Russia, sailing from Cyprus, they began to shout and οχλαγωγοÏν.
The duty officer cops tried to explain to the women that the baggage check was necessary for security issues, however those attacked police resulting to the arrest.
During the process of arrest, the Russians resisted. The women were arrested for the offenses of assault against a police officer in the execution of his duty, causing anxiety and resistance during the arrest.
Later today, the two women are expected to be brought before the District Court of Larnaca on the issuing decrees of their detention.
