25 March: With grandness the great military parade in the center of Athens

Its national anniversary is celebrated with great splendor with the great celebration held before the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou in Syntagma Square. Parts of the Armed Forces and Security Corps took part in the parade in front of the Unknown Soldier’s monument to the Constitution culminating in the events on the 25th of March. In the center of Athens there have been plenty of people to attend the parade, which becomes the presence of the President of the Republic, the political and military leadership. The ceremonial official doxology was preceded at the Cathedral of the Holy Temple of Athens, forehead of the Makarios Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Jerome and the deposit of a wreath by the President of the Republic. The opening of the celebrations for the anniversary events was given etiquette shortly after 6 a.m. with 21 cannon shots from Lycabettus’ gunhouse.
