Zelenskyy: Next Peace Talks Likely in USA

Ukraine and Russia agreed to continue negotiations to end their four-year war, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announcing the next round is likely to take place in the United States. The agreement follows two days of trilateral talks with the U.S. on February 5, 2026. Ukrainian chief negotiator Rustem Umerov confirmed both sides will consult their capitals and resume discussions in the coming weeks. Ukraine expressed gratitude to the UAE for hosting the meeting and to U.S. President Donald Trump for his leadership in advancing peace efforts. U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff also confirmed the talks were constructive and will continue soon.
