Zara: Invests in coffee and causes tensions due to name

According to Reuters, Zicaffe stated that “zi” and “za” are very close and there is a possibility of confusion, unfair advantage and damage to the discretion of its own brand. Inditex did not immediately respond to a request for commentary, nor did Vito Zichitella, one of the owners of Zicaffe and grandson of its founder. It is noted that the family business Zicaffe, which roasted and exported coffee blends, submitted its response to the patent application of the Spanish fashion chain on 25 December 2024. CORVERSE Zara’s first cafe Inditex opened the first Zacaffe cafeteria in a new Zara Man store in Madrid, as part of a wider strategy to offer new market experiences to boost sales.
