The top category of Rally1 cars will no longer use plug-in hybrid units resulting in 130 horsepower loss but will be much more flexible without extra weight. The minimum weight was reduced from 1260 to 1180 kg and the size of the air limiter was reduced from 36 to 35 mm, to help maintain a similar power to weight ratio as before. Meanwhile, Hankook enters the institution as an exclusive tyre supplier for WRC’s top categories. On Sunday , the first 5 of the last leg will also be rewarded , as well as the top 5 drivers at Power Stage (grades 5-4-3-2-1 ). So while someone who won a race in 2024 and was also the quick one in Power Stage, he was getting 30 points, now and with Super Sunday can get 35 points. Teams have already prepared, not as much as I would like, for the start of the season, and especially in adapting Hankook’s new tires.
