Renowned actor Will Smith has announced the release of a new studio album titled ‘Based on a True Story,’ available from March 28th. The American actor, rapper, and producer previously released tracks such as ‘First Love,’ ‘Beautiful Scars,’ ‘Tantrum,’ ‘Works of Art,’ and ‘You Can Make It.’ This album is Smith’s first in two decades and includes nine more songs. In 2005, he released the album ‘Lost and Found.’ DJ Jazzy Jeff, with whom Smith first appeared on the music scene, and Simone accompany him on the first track ‘Int. Barbershop Day.’ Teyana Taylor collaborates with the rapper for ‘Hard Times,’ while Jac Ross features in ‘Bulletproof.’ Yesterday (14.03.2025), he published a video recreating an iconic moment from the series ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ with former co-star Tatyana Ali. Both participated in the dance trend ‘Anxiety,’ paying tribute to a scene where Ali’s character Ashley Banks dances in her room without knowing that Smith’s character is mimicking her moves. The video also features rapper Doechii dancing to the hit song ‘Anxiety.’ Smith wrote in the caption: ‘I waited 35 years for this dance to become a trend,’ blending past and present.
