A wildfire broke out in an agricultural and forested area in Achlia, Lassithi, around noon on Wednesday (02/07/2025). Firefighters are actively tackling the blaze, with 36 firefighters on site, supported by two teams of ground units and 12 vehicles. In addition to ground operations, two helicopters have been deployed to assist in containing the fire from the air.
