Wildfire in Halkidiki at Plana Area – 4 Air Units Deployed

A wildfire broke out on Friday afternoon (04.07.2025) in an agricultural and forest area in the Plana region. To combat the blaze, 75 firefighters were mobilized, including 4 teams of ground crews from the 2nd EMAK and 22 vehicles. Additionally, support came from 2 aircraft and 2 helicopters. Water tankers and heavy machinery from local authorities also joined the firefighting efforts.
