A wildfire broke out in low vegetation in the Aliki area of Boeotia at midday on Saturday (5.7.25). The 112 emergency service issued a message urging residents to move towards Agios Nikolaos for safety. The Fire Department responded immediately to contain the blaze.
According to the official announcement, “Wildfire in the Aliki area of the Regional Unit of Boeotia. If you are in the Aliki region, move towards Agios Nikolaos and follow the instructions of the authorities.”
At the scene, 40 firefighters have been deployed, including two groups of forest rangers from the 4th EMOODE, 13 vehicles, four airplanes, and two helicopters. Support is also being provided by water tankers from local municipalities.
Local authorities and emergency services continue to monitor the situation closely and urge residents to remain vigilant and follow official guidance.
