Why to start modern dance?

Like all little girls, so and I about 5 years old, I started following my own request, and not because of some ενδόμυχης… desire of my mother, the classic ballet. Of course, I was impressed by the clothes, the shoes and all the accessories you need for a ballerina. All this mood lasted only a few years, after gradually other obligations began to absorb my powers.
And, of course, in the last few years, I’ve been looking desperately for a dance school to live this grudge that I didn’t get to be happy then. Completely random I found out that the university gym offers, among other things, and courses in contemporary dance.
An interesting story behind the modern dance
The history of modern dance began in the late 1920’s in America as a reaction to the strict structure of ballet. The woman who laid the foundations of modern dance considered that it was Isadora Duncan. H Duncan rejected the rules imposed by the ballet in the technical execution of step considering that it was contrary to human nature. The same he believed that dance should be the approach as a means of expression, and freedom. Supported the dance on the natural movements of the body with particular emphasis on the contraction and relaxation of muscles.
Modern dance I had never done that before and to be honest, in the beginning, I saw a little haughtily. Nevertheless, I went to the first class. Fortunately, the gym area is big, after we gathered about twenty of the girls that we were waiting to start the lesson.
I just started the class, I understood why I was the modern dance is my favorite hobby.
The dance teacher was a new girl and after we met we started to walk in space. Yes, it sounds boring, but this is the warm-up for modern dancing and before you rush to back away, give him a chance. Then, after the warm-up, we sat on the floor for additional exercises. Just finished this piece, started the music.
The magic in the modern dance is that it allows you to express what you feel through movement. You can dance standing up, and, as much as you seem strange, you can dance still and lying on the floor. The body is in harmony. You have the ability to sync or to “isolate” the members of the body. With contemporary dance you can express what you feel without having to talk.
The modern dance is good for the body equally with the soul
The more you engage with the modern dance, the more changes observed in the body. The benefits are many, as the dance trains the body, providing comfort in movement and flexibility, while in addition it helps us to combat stress and release. A leotard and tights are the necessary accessory. The dancers performed barefoot, modern dance is considered to be earthly, and the contact with the floor is necessary, in contrast with the classic, the dancer stepping on your toes.
