The income and asset criteria for receiving the €250 annual bonus for pensioners, uninsured elderly individuals, and recipients of disability benefits were presented today (April 22, 2025) by the Minister of Finance. Specifically, a payment of €250 net will be given to low-income pensioners, recipients of disability benefits, and uninsured elderly individuals. The financial support will be paid out by November 30 each year, starting from November 2025. It is estimated that this initiative will benefit 1.44 million citizens with an annual cost of €360 million. Eligible recipients include: Pensioners over 65 years old with an annual household income up to €14,000 for singles and assets up to €200,000. Married or cohabiting pensioners with an annual household income up to €26,000 and assets up to €300,000. Uninsured elderly individuals (already subject to income and asset criteria). Recipients of disability benefits paid by OPED or e-EFKA (without income or asset restrictions).
