The White House is ‘examining the authenticity’ of reports concerning fatal strikes near an aid distribution center in southern Gaza, as stated today (03.06.2025) by Caroline Levitt. “The administration is aware of these reports and we are examining their authenticity,” said the White House representative, Caroline Levitt, adding that “in contrast to certain media outlets, we do not fully trust what Hamas claims.” The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) confirmed today (03.06.2025) the death of 27 people in Gaza, a number earlier announced by Palestinian rescue services, while the Israeli army stated it is conducting an ‘investigation,’ referring to the strikes as ‘warning shots.’ Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of State described the humanitarian aid effort in Gaza, supported by organizations backed by the U.S. and Israel, as a ‘success,’ acknowledging room for improvement following the deaths near a distribution center, according to the Red Cross. “They managed to distribute meals. And at the same time, we will certainly review the situation and how we might further improve things,” stated Tammy Brooks, the State Department representative.
