Which women are more likely to suffer a heart attack?

Working women with a kid but…
without a husband are more likely to suffer a heart attack or stroke, compared with married workers, according to a new international scientific research.
The researchers, led by Frank van Λένδε of the Medical Center of Εράσμειου University in Rotterdam, who made the relevant publication in the american journal for public health “American Journal of Public Health”, according to the agency Reuters, analyzed data on about 11,000 women in Europe and 6,000 in the united states, which were born between 1935 and 1956.
11% of American women and 5% of Europeans had been working single mothers for some period of time. These women had on average a 40% greater chance for having a heart attack or other heart disease, 74% for stroke, and 77% are smokers, compared to married working mothers.
“The job and the marriage offer or at least increase the likelihood of economic and social security. The loss of support from a partner or the loss of job security may cause stress and result in unhealthy behaviors,” said van Λένδε.
Also the study found that the working single women without children, especially in Europe, have a lower risk of developing high blood pressure than married workers without a child.
