The location of the hotel Metropolitan is considered to be pivotal, as he is in front of the Seaside Olympic park, across the street from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center and only 15 minutes distance from the historic centre of Athens.

According to the story, in mid-November will be held the third auction for the unit, four star hotel on Syngrou avenue, which in fact it is estimated that it will start with a much lower price compared with that of 47,8 million. euro in the previous two procedures, and, more specifically, close to 35 million. euro. The development, it is estimated that significantly increases the chances of finding an interested buyer, who will be in charge of the complete renovation of the unit.
The “bet” for the upgrade of the region of Concord and the Tuileries at the same time seems to accept one more player. It is the hotel La Mirage on the Omonia square, which remains closed since 2008 due to the general degradation of the point. The Equity Fund Aviation, the owner, is expected to restart the process of finding a new tenant, who, however, will be required to bear the costs of the renovation of the unit. The hotel had been at the centre two years ago, when the then leadership of the ministry of National Defence had given the order for the establishment of a competent committee negotiations that will take over the work of the procedures of the lease of the closed hotel, with free starting price in the negotiation. 2012 had been discussed in turn and in a student dormitory, with a capacity of 400 beds.
The fact however is, as are operators of the hotel market, that the next time the discussions for the re-opening of units, despite the difficult business and economic climate, you won’t miss them. Furthermore, the increase in the demand for Athens promotes the investment moves: only September the capital showed a positive sign 14,3% in tourist arrivals, while the total in the nine-month period, the increase reaches 7.6%.
