Which chains have started bids before the official start of winter discounts

Large chains and footwear have already started offerings a week before their official start on January 13, 2025, giving consumers the opportunity to acquire products at reduced prices an hour earlier. Winter discounts today (7.1.2025) range from 11% to 78% in specific products, according to a newsit.gr survey on the websites of large groups of clothing and footwear. Although the biggest offers are expected next week, hunting for the best opportunities has already begun. CORVERSE Specifically, the discounts of the Spanish multinational clothing company Inditex (Zara, Massimo Dutti, Stradivarius, Oysho, Pull & Bear, Bershka) so far range from 11% to 72% for selected product codes. In particular, consumers can find discounts from 11% to 72% in Zara, 15% to 50% in Massimo Dutti, 11% to 62% in Stradivarius, 18% to 50% in Oysho, 16% to 64% in Pull & Bear and 27% to 56% in Bershka. In the Spanish clothing company Mango discounts start at 20% and reach up to 50%, as in the Swedish multinational retailer H&M clothing (Hennes & Mauritz). In the Greek clothing company, Funky Buddha, discounts are formed from 30% to 78%, BSB from 30% and 50% and Attrativo at 30%. Discounts to the large British multinational retail company, Marks & Spencer, start from 30% and reach up to 70%, to Toi&moi from 20% to 50% and to Jack & Jones from 10% to 50%. CORVERSE Based on the research of newssit.gr on major sports chain websites, discounts on sports shoes range from 6% to 64% in selected product codes. More specifically, discounts to American multinational sports retail companies Footlocker and Nike amount to 8% to 64% and 10% to 50% respectively, while in British JD Sports from 6% to 40%. In the large Greek Intersport and Cosmos Sport chains, discounts range from 11% to 50% and from 20% to 45% respectively. In Zakcret, which is the largest Greek chain, the discounts are at 20%. At the same time, discounts to the English sports company Admiral range from 20% to 64%, while to the German multinational company Adidas from 25% to 60%. It is noted that winter discounts will last from Monday, January 13, 2025 to Friday, February 28, 2025, while the first two Sundays of discounts, on January 19 and 26, 2025, will remain optionally open, from 11:00 to 18:00, according to the Thessaloniki Commercial Association. Penalties for traders should pay particular attention to compliance with the provisions on discounts and reduced prices, because otherwise they will be subject to strict sanctions. In particular, those who break the law are expected to impose a fine equal to 1% of the annual turnover and, however, not less than EUR 10,000. In the aggravating case, where the discounts are proven to be inaccurate or misleading, a fine equal to 2% of the annual turnover is imposed and, however, not less than EUR 20,000.
