Ionian Road, the distance that separates the two ηπειÏώτικες cities I travelled in much less than an hour. But a few decades ago, however, the journey from Preveza to Ioannina was a real “Calvary”, after having lasted several hours. More specifically, the decade of the 50 buses of the era made the distance of 4.5 hours, while travelers resting stop for food on the ΤÎÏοβο. The situation has changed slightly since the decade of the 60’s as we fell in 2.5 hours trip, while gradually till our days -per-decade – the times were falling steadily, as constantly there were projects of improvements of the road that dropped quite a distance. On the photo you present, you will see a bus of this era loaded with passengers and luggage going up slowly ΚανÎτα. To remember the older and learn the younger!
