When it comes the electronic ticket

In accordance with information of OASA, on Thursday, the agency’s Management Board unanimously approved the completion of the first phase of the project, which is implemented through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) 12-year prison time period, after which, will be transferred entirely to the Organisation of Urban Transport of Athens.
Also, for the operation of the electronic ticket is provided for supply and installation of επικυρωτικών machinery in all the instruments, control equipment access, and installation of entry gates in the metro stations and the suburban railway, which will open with “smart cards”, which the citizen would “charge” for paying in proportion to use.
The project will cover and will serve all the passengers of the means of urban transport (buses, trolleybuses, tram, metro) and suburban railway, and will be the trigger for the charge based on the distance and frequency of use.
The total cost of construction amounts to 58.800.000 euros, of which 49% (28.812.000 euro) is financed by the NSRF and the 51% of equity of the concessionaire company (TERNA Energy and the south Korean LG).
